Dr. Martinez is an Interventional Spine and Pain Medicine physician who focuses on eradicating pain using the most advanced interventional pain management techniques and treatments available.

Dr. Marte A. Martinez is Board Certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine by the American Board of Anesthesiology. He grew up just south of Laredo in McAllen, TX. Upon completing his medical training in Dallas, TX, at the prestigious University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, Dr. Martinez studied and trained in Anesthesiology at The Oklahoma University Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City, OK. During residency training, he presented his research in neuromodulation and anesthesiology at various national and international meetings. He also served as the national resident of the Chronic Pain Management Committee for the American Society of Anesthesiology. Upon completing his Anesthesiology Residency, he attended The University of Texas Health Sciences Center in San Antonio, where he completed his Interventional Pain Management Fellowship training. Dr. Martinez currently serves as an educator for Dannemiller, teaching vertebral augmentation techniques. He continues to collaborate with an international team performing neuromodulation research. Dr. Martinez is an expert in neuromodulation, having published multiple articles on the subject, and is also well-versed in ultrasound-guided interventions, which are cutting-edge for the delivery of targeted intra-articular and soft tissue injections. He is an active member of numerous professional societies. Dr. Martinez is married to his college sweetheart, Adrianna, and is the proud father of three girls, Eva Isabel, Ana Sophia, and Leilah Emmanuelle . In his spare time he enjoys the outdoors and is an avid fisherman and hunter. Dr. Martinez believes in a team approach where the physician and patient do their part to achieve the goal of a fully functioning patient and the restoration of a productive member of society.
